I have 3 days remaining to bill another 15.5 hours.
Time goes in. The invoice comes out.
You track your work the way you already do. Everything downstream of that (the retainer, the capacity, the invoice etc) keeps itself up to date.
Start a timer and forget about it
Pick the client and what you're on. Quivva links the time to the right retainer or milestone, so you never have to file it afterwards.

Watch the retainer burn down
Hours remaining, burn rate, and how many days are left to bill them. You get told before you overrun, not after.

The invoice is already written
Every line is time you already tracked. Review it, send it, mark it paid. Invoicing stops being a chore you do at month end.

Built for the solo consultant.
Good fit if...
- You work on retainers and want a clear view of what's delivered and what's left
- You juggle several clients and plan your week around real capacity
- You bill professionally, with high-level invoices rather than raw timesheets
- You've taken on a fractional or ongoing advisory role
Not a fit if...
- Your clients expect minute-by-minute activity reporting
- You run high-volume, low-value work that needs heavy automation
- You're shopping for a generic freelancer app or an agency tool
I've run my own consultancy on Quivva since 2024.
I built it because I was spending too much mental energy worrying if I was underbilling or overcommitting.
Also, nothing else handles retainers in a way that makes sense for solo consultants.
Now I open it every morning instead of a spreadsheet. Or anytime I need reassurance I'm on track.

Questions
How is Quivva different from Toggl or Harvest?
Toggl and Harvest are time tracking tools. Quivva is a retainer and capacity tool, built for consultants with recurring client relationships. You'll open it every morning to see where you stand, not just at the end of the month to invoice.
Do I need to be technical to use it?
No. Quivva is easier to use than a spreadsheet. It's built around retainers and client work from the ground up, so you won't need workarounds to fit your workflow in.
Can I import my existing time tracking data?
Not yet. At launch you'll set up your retainers by hand and start tracking fresh. CSV import from Toggl, Harvest and other common formats is on the roadmap.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Your client information, rates and financials are private, and are never sold or shared.
