Know what to set aside, before you need it

Quivva knows the contracts and income already on your books, so it can tell you what to set aside for tax as you go, not just when the return is due. Built from the invoices and receipts already in Quivva.

Estimates from your tax settings, not a tax return.

Forward-looking, not retrospective

A number to set aside, not a return to lodge

Quivva applies the marginal and effective rates from your settings to the income already on your books, so you know what to put aside as you earn it. It is an estimate, built to remove surprises, not a filing.

Sales tax, both directions

What you collected on invoices and what you paid on expenses, for the period you choose. Labelled with the name your country uses, whether that is VAT, GST or sales tax.

Not a replacement for your accountant

Xero, QuickBooks and FreshBooks handle bookkeeping and lodgement better than Quivva ever will, and your accountant is still the one who signs off. Quivva’s job is the running number in between.

Export for your accountant

One click gives you an Excel file of every invoice and expense in the period, in a shape Xero, QuickBooks and FreshBooks all read. Hand it over and the conversation is short.

Tax questions

Is this a tax return?

No. It is a running estimate of what to set aside, built from the invoices and rates already in Quivva. The numbers are yours to check and to hand to whoever prepares your return.

Does this replace my accounting software or my accountant?

No, and it is not trying to. Quivva does not do bookkeeping, reconciliation or lodgement. What it does is tell you, ahead of time, what your contracted income means for your tax set-aside. Export everything for your accountant or your accounting software when it is time to file.

Which taxes does it cover?

The sales tax you charge and reclaim, under whatever name your country uses, and an estimate of the income tax on your profit. Both come from the tax name and rates in your settings.

Does it fit the way my country reports?

Set the date range to your reporting period, monthly, quarterly or yearly, and the figures recalculate. Export the invoices and expenses behind them for whoever prepares your filing.
